Steven's freshman campaign at Stony Brook was historic. As a Louisville Slugger First Team Freshman All-American, he helped lead the Seawolves on an unforgettable run to the College World Series in Omaha.

In the 2012 Super Regionals against LSU, on national ESPN television, Steven delivered clutch performances that helped clinch Stony Brook's first-ever trip to Omaha — a moment that defined his career and shaped his coaching philosophy.
